This enduring electric compressor, successful across various markets worldwide, has been a staple in production for decades, with millions manufactured annually in the USA. Despite its longevity, the latest design had remained unchanged for 15 years. Upon the company's request for a redesign, I preserved the familiarity of the tank while elevating the overall user experience. Revamping the cord wrap with a new and intuitive design, and incorporating modern, intuitive air pressure controls were key aspects of the redesign. Additionally, I infused the design with DEWALT's latest visual language to impart a tough and contemporary aesthetic.
